This wedding started with the bride and groom getting ready at their friend and families homes – an intimate relaxed vibe and tons of meaningful details. The heat was spectacular that day, and fans were made use of!
A family farm in Courtenay was the ceremony location. It had a summer greenery backdrop, with moss and blooms framing a wedding arch, and flower petals lined the aisle – the effect was lush and green and absolutely gorgeous. Darth Vader – yes, the notorious man himself – made his appearance during the ceremony, to start the event off with the Imperial March – however after surprising the guests, the ‘real’ music started and the bride was escorted down the isle.
Formals were on location for family, and then an adventure down to the back area of Courtenay to find old ruins and forests.
I loved how the brides quirky personality was all over the decor, beautiful moss, books and knick-knacks made a Lord of the Rings feel to the reception decor, and of course, we tried to carry this out by visiting one of the few places in Courtenay with the feel of ‘old ruins.’ Sarah & Colin’s amazing planner was Lavish Engagements, who set up the beautiful reception tent full of style.
Congratulations to the happy couple! #happilyeverpartridge
