I always like to try to include some variety when I can, in photographing a professionals headshots. I think its invaluable to have a few ‘looks’ , for work, social media and whatever may come up to represent yourself as you want to be shown. Its also nice to not have the same image on every app and network. For example, using ‘business’ look images for LinkedIn, and a slightly more casual look for Facebook that can crossover to personal use.
